Liz Luo

Liz was born and raised in Wuyi Mountain at Fujian Providence China, where she embraced her cultural heritage and developed a passion for art and fashion. In 2003 after graduating from the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts where she studied portrait sketching, she began working for a top bridal manufacture in Chaozhou as a translator for American clients, in house stylist and, as a production fabric sourcing manager. It was during this time that Liz mastered the art of hand beading, patten making, draping and, bridal design. Soon after working in the factories, Liz relocated to America where she spent the next 20 years designing wedding gowns for private clients. Her fashion forward designs and elaborate creations kept her in high demand in the bridal industry. “I’ve always considered fashion to be a great canvas for artistic expression, a great way to bring beauty and romance from a woman’s point of view. I want my designs to celebrate individuality, romanticism and timeless elegance.” 

Liz innovative spirit and appreciation for women of all shapes and sizes motivated her to create her own label, LIZLÚO BRIDAL, along with her best friend, Designer Emillio O. Vega.

Emillio O. Vega

Emillio was born into a family of dressmakers and pattern makers originally from Nicaragua in Latin America. At the young age of 10 he moved to America after his mother tragically passed away. “Fashion was always around me ever since I can remember. My mother used tell me that I took my first baby steps in my grandfathers tailor shop and ran towards a roll of sequin fabric.” Emillio grew up in California, where he received his formal education at The Fashion Institute Of Design And Merchandising (FIDM). Soon after graduating collage with a specialized degree in Fashion Design, he joined Brazilian Swimwear label Gloss Army based in Beverly Hills. While designing swimsuits, the bridal industry opened a new design opportunity and he started working for global manufacture Alfred Angelo Bridal and eventually relocated to the company’s headquarters in Delray Beach Florida at the end of 2014.  

During his time at Alfred Angelo Bridal he created top selling styles and designed for all core collections including: Signature by Alfred Angelo, Modern Vintage, Saphire, Bridesmaids and Disney Fairytale Weddings. Emillio's modern bride flare changed the labels image by designing the company’s first fashion-forward wedding gown made of a crepe body-hugging skirt and a cheer bodice encrusted with crystals. “The bridal industry has completely changed, the bride of today wants a re-carpet moment on her wedding day, she wants to feel feminine and glamorous, she’s un-apologetic, she wants cutting-edge designs that celebrate her individuality, romanticism and elegance.” 

After the world opened back up from a global pandemic, Liz and Emillio re-connected and dreaming about the impossible became a reality, LIZLÚO Bridal was born. Liz & Emillio are visionary entrepreneurs and talented designers, they are the leading minds and hearts behind LIZLÚO Bridal.
